Contract Clause
From the whole Gilligan’s Island crew, Dawn Wells was the one who best benefited financially from the entire franchise. Everything is thanks to her then husband, who was an agent for television and urged her to include on her contract a specific provision in fine print. Within the provision, it said Wells was to get royalties for each syndication Gilligan’s Island gets from that point on. At present, when you think about the show even playing reruns today, what she did was fantastic. That implies Wells still gets checks from being Mary Ann!
