When it came to preparing for his role as serial killer Picasso in Alex Cross, Matthew Fox showed he was a true professional. To play the terrifyingly ripped character with tattoos and a desire to kill in the film, Fox had to lose 40 pounds. Many people were taken aback by Fox’s drastic body transformation, as he appeared to be completely transformed, but the ladies were able to admire his perfectly formed abs on screen as well. The transformation took five months, and Fox worked with celebrity trainer Simon Waterson.

On the set of Stiller’s Tropic Thunder, Tom Cruise had to forego his gorgeous hair and undergo a balding treatment to play Les Grossman. He was rumored to be wearing a fat suit rather than following a weight-gain diet. His character’s potted mouth and hairy fingers also draw attention. We were actually relieved to see Tom in his silly and comedic role after several serious roles.
