To make it appear as if Eddy Murphy, who played Sherman Klump, was actually gaining weight, he had to wear a fat suit with attached latex water bladders. Baker, a well-known makeup artist, had to add more chins and rolls to Eddy’s face to match the 300-pound fat suit.

Matt Damon is one of Hollywood’s most well-known faces, but his dedication to projects can also be seen in the effort he puts into his character performances. For a smaller role in Courage Under Fire, Damon, for example, went on a 100-day diet that included running and exercising. Damon only had to be on set for two days, but he committed to the process by losing weight to play an opiate-addicted soldier. Damon was 40 pounds lighter at the end of the process, and he gave an outstanding performance.
