The Beatles, Please Please Me (1963)

The Beatles only had a short period of time for this album. The deadline was fast approaching but they only had four songs! They managed to record seven songs in one day, only 9 hours and 45 minutes to be specific. John Lennon also had a cold, which explains how raspy his voice was in “Twist and Shout.” An original pressing of this once went for $4,200. The hint here is “The Beatles” in gold font against black.

The cover art of this is what makes it so valuable. The original UK edition had a white speaker releasing soundwaves against an orange background. They later replaced it with a loudspeaker in the desert. The label accidentally shipped out a couple of the old version. If you own one, you can get $4,600 for it.
