After this entire battle, it turns out that it hasn’t yielded much of a result. According to the school district’s website, Bohenek is still employed in the elementary school. But who knows, maybe she’s learned her lesson from the whole ordeal.

One woman wrote in response to the story, “Such a tender age to be scarred from this form of abuse. There are a lot of so-called ‘teachers’ that are working in schools that don’t care for children and aren’t fit to teach … Little to no training or love for the profession. I’m a former teacher and has taught for 20 years, I can truly see why many students and families are turning to homeschool and other non-traditional learning opportunities”.
