A revised version of a Norwegian film, Christopher Nolan’s Insomnia focuses Al Pacino and a frightening cast-against-type Robin Williams in a cat-and-mouse, cop-and-killer chase in the ever-lasting sun of Alaska. After watching this thriller, you won’t be able to sleep. A few of the other Alaskan movies are The Proposal, Balto, and The Grey, which shows Liam Neeson fighting a pack of wolves.

Nicolas Cage, John Goodman, The Coen Brothers, Nicolas Cage, and  Holly Hunter, join forces to create Raising Arizona, an impulsive crime/comedy about a baby who is help for ransom by convicts but with the best of motives.  The Arizona desert looks so awesome on screen and definitely one of the most entertaining movies to be made. The runners-up in Arizona are, the underestimated 3 Godfathers, Wes Anderson’s whimsical debut Bottle Rocket. Martin Scorsese’s serene Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore and the outstanding,  sci-fi  It Came From Outer Space.
