The Crown Estate’s portfolio is composed of many different sections, including retail and leisure real estate. The Queen can shop whenever she wants. All the Swans on the River Thames

Owned Since: 15th Century
Valued At: $130,000*

The Queen was born in 1926, but her right to own all the swans dates back to the 15th Century. Her Majesty actually owns all of the “unclaimed mute swans” on any water throughout England and Wales. Considering a swan will cost around $300, this small nest egg is worth around $130,000. This was one of the Royals’ most impressive collections, as swans were a delicacy back then. Now, this is no longer the case. The Queen conducts an annual swan count to ensure their numbers are still strong.
