The red fox is an extremely smart animal that stays in its den during the day and makes an appearance at night. However, the crew waited that night and saw no trace of the mother at all. They were desperate for her to come in the morning.

The only foxes native to Western Europe are Red foxes. The Arctic fox comes from Scandinavia, and the corsac’s fox goes all the way into European Russia. Also, Red foxes are the largest foxes.
