Sadly, this coincided with another terrible bit of news. Nadia suffered another heartbreak when Romanian officials decided her coach would serve the country better by finding a new protégé. This was terrible news for Nadia and her reaction is completely understandable. They have been together since she was six years old, after all. Unfortunately, this was not the last challenge life had in store for her.

Keep in mind that Nadia was only a 15-year-old girl back then. She was not prepared to deal with the hand she has been given. The talented athlete suddenly lost the will to go to the gym and she eventually stopped training completely. She even landed in the hospital after showing symptoms from incredibly high stress levels.
