Alright! This one may be a stunner to fans. However, actress Tina Louise wasn’t keen on hanging out with her co-actors. As a matter of fact, she wasn’t even generally around during the group interviews the crew did. Maybe, this can be attributed to the fact she didn’t want to be typecast as Gilligan’s Island’s Ginger. In any case, once the cast moved on from the show, TV and movie producers still feared people would just consider the actors to be their iconic characters.

Alright, what was the actual reason behind Gilligan’s Island having to end after just three awesome seasons? Well, CBS had simply revamped their lineup for that year and thought they needed to let the show go. At that time, Gilligan’s Island’s ratings weren’t really great. Thus, the network initially had the idea the show could get higher ratings in a more affordable time slot. Nevertheless, the executives decided to axe it once they secured the show Gunsmoke.
